Explore and Appreciate the
Beauty of Nature

Enjoying a walk in nature has been found to generate many positive mental health benefits such as uplifting one’s mood, relieving stress and improving concentration. Away from the urban concrete, allowing ourselves to connect with nature injects a breath of fresh air and energy into our mundane routine.

Under the Singapore Green Plan, all households will get to visit a park within a 10 minute walk as more parks and nature spaces get developed and expanded.

Nature and biodiversity also play an important role within a city to mitigate against a warming climate by providing shade that prevents heat from being absorbed in our concrete material surfaces.

Our nature walk programme offers a guided learning experience, sharing about ecological value of the beautiful flora and fauna residing in our nature reserves and parks. With better understanding, we also hope to promote a society that welcomes the coexistence with our wildlife neighbours.

We plan to also explore developing nature-based therapy programmes to provide opportunities for different segments of the population such as persons with disabilities (PWDs) and elderly to enjoy the beauty and benefits of nature.
